RELEASE: Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC Celebrates President Biden’s Historic Career Fighting for Families, Endorses Vice President Harris

WASHINGTON – Sondra Goldschein, Executive Director of the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC (CFFE PAC), released the below statement following President Biden’s announcement that he will not seek a second term:

“Since he was first elected to local government over 50 years ago, President Joe Biden has been an unrelenting champion for women and families. As president, he successfully fought to lower costs for working families, including the cost of child care and prescription drugs, so that everyone in America has the tools and opportunities they need to build a better life. There is no question that families across our country are better off for the service and leadership of President Biden.”

“As President Biden has made clear, our work to ensure all families can thrive remains unfinished. Today, we are proud to unequivocally endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for president. Vice President Harris has spent her entire career fighting for the wellbeing of American families. As a candidate for president, she proposed robust plans to reduce the cost of child care, make prescription drugs more affordable and pass a national, six-month paid family and medical leave policy. As Vice President, she cast the tie-breaking votes in support of the American Rescue Plan Act and Inflation Reduction Act, bills that lowered the cost of child care and prescription drugs for families across the country.”

“Vice President Harris will continue to be a tireless champion for families as president. At the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC, we are committing every resource at our disposal to ensuring we elect Vice President Harris and Democrats up and down the ballot in November. ”
