Following President Biden’s signing of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 today, Sondra Goldschein, executive director of the Family Friendly Action PAC, released the following statement:
“Working families are feeling the squeeze of high prices. The Inflation Reduction Act will help families make ends meet by lowering the costs of prescription drugs, reducing the cost of health insurance and investing in projects that will lower energy costs. The Inflation Reduction Act gives hardworking families the tools they need to build a better life. We applaud Democrats in Congress and President Biden for fighting tirelessly to make this law.”
“It is our hope that this important step forward will set the stage for further investments in the policies working families need, including paid family and medical leave for all and quality, affordable child care. For this to be possible, we need to elect leaders who will prioritize these policies. That’s why we will spend every day from now until Election Day educating voters about where the candidates stand on issues that will lower costs and improve their lives.”
Recently, the Family Friendly Action PAC announced a $23 million investment in a grassroots campaign supporting Senate candidates in Pennsylvania, Arizona, New Hampshire, Wisconsin and Georgia who are fighting for policies that will help working families, including access to affordable prescription drugs, affordable child care and paid family and medical leave.
