FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTION PAC APPLAUDS BIDEN-HARRIS EXECUTIVE ACTIONS TO IMPROVE CARE FOR HARDWORKING FAMILIES

Following the announcement of the largest set of executive actions on care in our nation’s history by the Biden-Harris Administration, Sondra Goldschein, executive director of the Family Friendly Action PAC, released the following statement:

“Time and time again, President Biden has demonstrated his commitment to ensuring working families have the tools and opportunities they need to build a better life. This is the most comprehensive set of executive actions related to care in our nation’s history, and will undoubtedly improve the lives of care workers and families across the country by making things like child care and long-term care more accessible and affordable.

This announcement builds on previous work by the Biden-Harris Administration to strengthen our care infrastructure. Last month, President Biden released his 2024 budget proposal, which called for sweeping investments in child care, preschool and long-term care. It also included the strongest budget proposal for a comprehensive federal paid family and medical leave program in history. In order to ensure we build on today’s executive actions and pass the investments proposed in the Biden budget, we need to continue to elect leaders who will prioritize care policies.”

The Family Friendly Action PAC is dedicated to improving the lives of working families. In 2022, the Family Friendly Action PAC ran a $13.5 million voter contact program across Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia and New Hampshire, communicating with voters about where candidates stand on policies that lower the cost of prescription drugs, ensure paid family and medical leave and provide affordable elder and child care
