Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC Applauds Leader Schumer for Bringing the Child Tax Credit to a Vote

WASHINGTON Sondra Goldschein, Executive Director of the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC (CFFE PAC) released the following statement regarding Senator Schumer’s decision to hold a vote on the Child Tax Credit expansion tomorrow. The legislation enjoyed broad bipartisan support in the House of Representatives and comes at a time when Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance is under fire for attacks on childless Americans.

“To distract from the fact that their ticket has a shamefully callous and frankly bizarre stance on the urgent need to reduce the cost of child care, the Trump-Vance ticket has resorted to spewing false claims about Vice President Harris’ support for the child tax credit. To be clear: the Vice President has been a steadfast champion for child care, casting the deciding vote in favor of expanded tax credit as part of the American Rescue Plan Act, legislation JD Vance has voiced strong opposition to. Tomorrow’s vote should serve as a reminder on which party has working families’ backs, and which would throw parents, caregivers, and kids under the bus.”
