WASHINGTON Sondra Goldschein, Executive Director of the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC (CFFE PAC) released the following statement celebrating Kamala Harris’ selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. Walz brings a strong record of lowering costs for working families to the ticket, signing paid family and medical leave into law and championing legislation to address prescription drug costs and protect seniors. The contrast between the Harris-Walz and the Trump-Vance tickets could not be clearer.

“Today, Kamala Harris doubled down on her commitment to provide families with the tools and opportunities they need to build a better life. Her selection of Gov. Walz is further proof that when it comes to having the backs of working families, the Harris-Walz ticket is the only one that will deliver. As governor, Walz signed one of the strongest paid leave policies in the country, recognizing the impact on a family’s budget. On the other hand, Trump and Vance are more focused on pushing an extremist agenda than prioritizing lowering the cost of care for working families. Not only does Trump ignore the issue at every turn, but Vance actually skipped a vote that would have provided financial relief to the parents of 16 million children. Let’s believe them when they show us who they are.”

“The stakes of this election are incredibly high for working families and CFFE PAC will be doing everything we can to send the Harris-Walz ticket to the White House where they will deliver for working families.”
