In an Effort to Flip the House and Secure a Democratic Trifecta this Fall, CFFE PAC Endorses 13 Candidates in High Stakes Races Who Have the Backs of Working Families
September 11, 2024
WASHINGTON – Today, the Campaign for a Family Friendly Economy PAC (CFFE PAC) announced its endorsement of 13 candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives from Frontline and Red to Blue districts. Family-friendly policies that focus on kitchen-table economic issues and combat the high cost of caregiving are top of mind for voters in this election, and these candidates have proven themselves to be champions for working families in their districts and across the country.
CFFE PAC’s slate of endorsed candidates include:
- Janelle Bynum (OR-05)
- Laura Gillen (NY-4)
- Adam Gray (CA-13)
- Mondaire Jones (NY-17)
- Mike Levin (CA-49)
- Josh Riley (NY-19)
- Pat Ryan (NY-18)
- Hillary Scholten (MI-03)
- Emilia Sykes (OH-13)
- Tom Suozzi (NY-03)
- Derek Tran (CA-45)
- Monica Tranel (MT-01)
- Susan Wild (PA-07)
CareGIVERS, a project of CFFE PAC, organized like-minded political donors to raise over $250,000 to support this slate of House candidates and Democratic leadership who champion policies that lower costs for working families.
“Electing this slate of Democratic champions is essential to flipping the House, securing a Democratic trifecta, and building the political will in Congress to advance cost-lowering legislation like paid family and medical leave, affordable child and elder care, and lower prescription drug prices,” said Sondra Goldschein, Executive Director of CFFE PAC. “The spiraling cost of care is top of mind for voters this year, and Democrats up and down the ballot have made clear that family budgets are a top priority.”
Across the country, voters support kitchen table economic solutions.
- 70% of adults would be more likely to vote for a candidate who supports expanding child care options for families.
- Four in five women – nearly 90% of Democratic women and 68% of Republican women – identified paid family and medical leave as an important factor to their vote in the presidential election.
- 85% of voters in battleground states favor paid parental, family, and medical leave.
These endorsements are part of CFFE PAC’s 2024 electoral program and its historic $40 million effort to elect a Democratic trifecta who will advance policies that allow families and our economy, to thrive.
